Honey Wine.
June 21st, 2007 by Jim Clark

I wrote another song, this time in the car. I was driving down the freeway with the chord progression swirling around in my head, and when I got home I started writing down the words. Within an hour I had this little number recorded. It’s called “Honey Wine”.
I’m pretty proud of this one. It’s rather short, but the simplicity is what I like about it. And it’s fun to play.

Just listened to Honey Wine — IMO, doesn’t measure up to Fear, but mainly because I don’t think your voice needs cloning. I’d suggest trying it all solo, and see how it goes.
That a Flea, too?

I did try it solo as I was warming up, but I really wanted the “call and response” type of thing for the song. And once I had one voice for the responses, I thought it would be more fun to have two.
It was an experiment.
And yeah, that was the Flea again.
