Hold On To Me.
December 28th, 2007 by Jim Clark

Last night I played a set at ROCKS downtown. It was a great show and I felt both honored and privileged to share the stage with some very talented folks.
I think I did okay for my first real gig. I was a little nervous but I managed to make it through the whole set and I think I covered my couple of mistakes pretty well. The crowd was very generous with their applause and seemed to enjoy the music, which feels really good.
I played five songs, including a couple new songs that nobody’s ever heard before. The newest is a country/western tune called “Hold On To Me” I wrote just a few days ago and I closed my set with it. Someone in the audience was singing harmony along with me which I thought was pretty neat.
Here’s a video of the performance my friend shot from the audience:
And here’s an edited stereo mix MP3 of the song suitable for iPods and such:

Excellent job, Jim! Congratulations. You make it seem so easy. I like the song, too.
Yehaaa Jimbo, And to think I shot the jukebox last night; just when I wanted to hear it again. Great song and rendition. Thanks,
Sweet! That turned out pretty well, imo. Didn’t even notice the mistakes.
Well, except for the false start I didn’t actually make any mistakes on this one.
Wow, who directed that thing!? Brilliant!
Again, great job, man. Could you hear people singing the chorus in the background? You totally hooked’m.
Loved seeing you LIVE at Rocks. You’re a natural. Great writing……I think this was my favorite song?! When’s your next gig?
